Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Portfolio: 45%
powerpoint presentation: 30%
active participation in class and group work: 25%All course requirements need to be fulfilled for a positive grade. Students need to score at least 60% altogether to pass this course and are requested to upload the portfolio tasks as .pdf files on Moodle for plagiarism check via Turnitin. AI tools must not be used for completing the portfolio tasks. They can be used in the research phase of the presentation. In this case the use of AI tools needs to be documented by making the process transparent and by including references for the tools used.Grading scale:
1 (very good): 100-90%
2 (good): 89-80%
3 (satisfactory): 79-70%
4 (pass): 69-60%
5 (fail): 59-0%

Students will become familiar with and able to analyse literary texts dealing with art and its role in society
- will get acquainted with theoretical texts on visual culture (including key concepts like power, representation, spectatorship or the gaze)
- will develop their writing and presentation skills
